Re: Guild Chat
so this how it all started i beleive guild chat is a must because a guild is meant for ppl to meet up and chat but when it comes to talkin bout random things that r nonsense it gets annoying

Re: Guild Chat
Good additions Marc, thank you.
Will - I enjoy your point of view. It is nice to have interesting things to talk to and fun situations to enter in, to break the ice.
I think that we understand when it goes too far... and interesting enough as I stand here and write this I learn more about other subjects too...
We are just talking about EXCESSIVE behaviors. We can chat, about a movie, dialogs, etc. But when it gets to the point that the chat is going too fast, like we have said, in that little chat box - 6 chats per sec and then things get lost.
We should talk, it is what we are, BUT when it gets to that point (which i too have trouble with) we need to stop, crew, or all get together at empty kh for more fun...
Let us all help each other, let us all strive to be that leader, that officer... Because we are all going to have days where we forget.
Luv ya'll - we can do this and still have fun

Guild Chat!
Guild Chat
Over the past few weeks the guild chat has become an issue.
My thoughts on this are try your best to crew chat so the guild chat can be used more for the lower levels.Asking for help on something, looking for something, trying to find someone who is sailing those types of things.
At the very least keep a close eye on the guild chat:and if there is alot going on in guild chat the second you see someone asking for help or wanting to bring a new member into the guild right away start talking to that person to try to help.
If one person answers the person in need two will and three will and so on.Then the person in need will not feel like he or she is being left out or just plan dropped to the side while a bunch of others are have fun talking about what ever might be going on.
Face it to get to the top we need everybody this means the levels 2,5,8,12 all of them.If we can do this we will be a bigger, stronger guild(FAMILY).
We understand that it is hard to please everyone but the people that have been in the guild for a long time have a responsibility now to help and listen!
So but yourself second in line. And we dont have to tell everyone to shut it and stop the guild chat down totally, this may cause others to get mad that they are being told what to do.Just whisper to the person in need and HELP them if you can.If you can not help then tell them as so as so and so gets on you will go straight to them to get the answer or the help the pirate was needing .

Re: Guild Chat
i understand silly issues like when i play around. Its only to get ppl to join into the talk cause most ppl dont talk unles u have them jump into conversaitons i have turned many ppl into talkers in the guild i have been there its scarey unles u feel comfortable to just talk but this meaingless talk isnt going to help those who r shy to talk.

Re: Guild Chat
Will. There is no happy medium. We will either have to little of chat, or to much. It's an issue I will have to learn to accept. It just gets so frustrating to lose people because of silly issues.

Re: Guild Chat
zeke when u said that meaningless chat is pointless in guild chat... that is all i use its not easy to just pick up and not say anything about anything. Ik when i joke around ppl join in and stuff but its only getting the guild into a happy spirit its boring just to do nothing and have no one to talk to. Ik im being the big pain here cause its appearently mostly my fault but haveing guild chat just for nothing but helping isnt fun theres no point to it.

Re: Guild Chat
Delete this post, and any other I find irrelevant. Henry, the purpose of this forum is not to have the most posts. It's to make meaningful posts about your opinion, not whine and rant. Post a blog if you need to.

Re: Guild Chat
Hold on now - wait a min...
Talking... ok... lets get specific now...
Talking about the game or answering questions, etc. - couple lines, everyone is involved, chat flowing smooth
vs.
Play whispering to someone about someone else or talking about
hitting ppl in the face... - six lines/sec, no one can get a word in, chat is going to fast for ppl to see
I NEVER SINGLED OUT ANYONE...
we are all guilty of it and i also think it is fun to play around...
What I am saying - we are losing ppl because they can't get help from the guild, cuz there question got lost 10 lines ago, since the chat goes too fast. They are leaving cuz not all the members are close like us, and they maybe are not into some of it.
Ignore the chat you say? Ok that is one thought that we have discussed.
Different servers? They only help for local chat... guild chat is serverless.
But we have come to an agreement that the guild chat is best suited for guild and game chat.. talking about the game, the guild, hi how are you, and such.
Please use crew chat and local chat for ongoing conversations that are btwn just a few of you.
Thank you,
Linds

Re: Guild Chat
thats how we talk to many ppl at once though. And how to tell some ppl to be quiet or something its just how we communicate. Trying to get the chat to stop isnt going to work ur going to start loosing many ppl. Just cause u wont let us chat.

Re: Guild Chat
The point is will, is that within 5 minutes, about 3-4 full pages can usually pop up when y'all start chattering. It gets annoying, and there is a line between chatting and chattering.

Re: Guild Chat
wat? we use guild chat to help ppl and to talk to multiple ppl at one time. Whispering the same thing to like 5 different ppl would just take up that persons time. If we use guild chat then we can tell many ppl at once.

Guild Chat
Hi Rogues,
We need to address the excessive chatter on the guild chat. We did talk about it some tonight but I would like to make sure that we are all aware. And that we can all talk about it together.
With so many ppl online at one time anymore, we are experiencing some unhappy feelings from the newer members and the lower level members.
The guild is, and most all guilds in general, are for help. And when the chat is going so fast, some of the questions get lost.
Lets try to keep the guild chat open for questions and such. Please feel free to use crew and local chats for ongoing conversations.
Hopefully this sounds fair to everyone and thank you for your time
Your Secretary,
Linds
